What is a ready-to-assemble cabinet?

Ready-to-assemble, or RTA cabinetry, is cabinetry that comes flat packed in boxes, including all of the pre-cut wood pieces and hardware required for assemblling and installing the cabinets.

Most of the cabinets we keep in stock at Stone & Cabinet Outlet are RTA cabinets.

Our RTA cabinets have the following advantages compared to other retailers:

1. We have our own cabinet factory, meaning we can offer a premium product made from high quality materials and built to strict standards at an exceptional value. Our cabinets are built to last, we're rarely out of stock, and prices are always low.
2. We only use premium grade Birch plywood for the box construction, and solid hardwoods for the faces, frames, doors, and drawers. All hardware is heavy-duty, soft-close, and fully adjustable. All paints and stains are professional grade low-VOC cabinetry finishes sourced from Sherwin Williams. You don't have to worry about cut corners or hidden costs for upgrades, because we've already chosen top-of-the-line components as our baseline standard.
3. We use high-strength dado jointery for the cabinet boxes and dovetail jointery for the drawer boxes that both look great and make our cabinets much more durable than our competitors. 
4. Our in-house cabinet assemblers and installers are very experienced with our cabinetry, meaning they can assemble and install them quickly to minimize lead times on your projects.

We sell our RTA cabinets in the following ways:
1. Unassembled in-box and to be picked up from our warehouse by the customer.
2. Assembled for a flat fee of $15 per cabinet to be picked up from our warehouse by the customer.*
3. Assembled and installed on the customer's property by an SCO installation crew for a flat fee of $90 per cabinet.*

What are your cabinets made out of?

Most of the cabinets we offer at Stone & Cabinet Outlet have birch or oak hardwood frames, doors, and drawers and birch plywood boxes, finished with professional cabinet grade paint and stain by Sherwin Williams. They are built and assembled using expert carpentry to ensure you get strong, long-lasting, and good looking affordable cabinets.

Can your cabinets be modified?

Yes, Stone & Cabinet Outlet routinely modifies our ready-to-assemble cabinets to improve their fit, match a cutomers' design preferenes, and ensure they match your living space seamlessly. Pricing includes modifcation labor fees that differ based on the type and difficulty of the modification required.

Our custom frameless cabinets are designed and built to your specifcations using a variety of materials and finishes, and they can be modified as needed.

We do not currently sell or modify custom, handmade hardwood cabinetry.

How much does an average kitchen with your cabinets cost?

The final price of your cabinets at Stone & Cabinet Outlet depends on the size and dimensions of your space, the style of cabinets you choose, and whether you choose to install and assemble them yourself or have our professional cabinet assemblers/installation crews do it for you.

Our six in-store styles of RTA cabinetry (Toffee Shaker, White Shaker, Espresso Shaker, Gray Bevel Edge, Charcoal Gray Raised Panel, and Cherry Shaker)  are very affordably priced, as we own the factory and sell them directly at wholesale prices, meaning we can pass on significant discounts to our customers.

We are also a distributor for line of birch and oak RTA cabinets from Parriott, but as we are a distributor, prices are higher and we cannot offer a discount for this product line due to high shipping costs. These cabinets must be ordered from a CA warehouse, and they take around two weeks to arrive at our showroom in Portland.

Our custom frameless cabintery is fully customizable in terms of design, materials, and construction. They are made to spec according to the customer's requirements. As they are fully custom, the prices are higher than our RTA cabinetry and there are no discounts available.

For reference, the following large, 20-cabinet galley kitchen layout with our White Shaker RTA cabinetry would cost around $9,600 including our standard retail customer discount.

Do you sell custom cabinets?

Stone & Cabinet Outlet designs, manufactures, and sells custom frameless cabinetry for commercial and resedential use

They are made with plywood or particle board boxes, with MDF, particle board, or plywood doors.

Door laminates are fully customizable, and you can choose whatever color or style that fits your space best.
